About “Ask Quill”

“Ask Quill” is a blog set up by a fly fisherman for fly fishermen! (and Fly Fisherwomen!).  I’m Gordon Rose, aka “Quill Gordon”, and I initially created this blog as a link from my Quill Gordon Fly Fishers retail website www.quillgordonflyfishers.com

 

The idea here is to provide a forum for folks to discuss and learn about all things fly fishing and fly tying!  I’ve been fly fishing for 45 years and fly tying for 40 years.  I’ve got tons of knowledge which I plan to share; yet people are always innovating, and everyone can learn something new (or old) from someone else!  I will be posting things about fishing and fly tying in order to share my wealth of knowledge (If you care a whit to know more about me, see “Who’s Quill Gordon” on my website at www.quillgordonflyfishers.com.  I encourage everyone to post comments or questions about what you see on this blog.  If you’re novice, don’t be bashful to “Ask Quill”!!  If you’re an expert, don’t hesitate to add your comments or tell me I’m nuts (though everyone knows that already).  And everyone please tell me what kinds of thing you’d like to learn regarding fly fishing and fly tying techniques!
